Simon James This album, as well as its prequel are essentials to your dark synth collection. Favorite track: Red Frenzy.

FLESH MECHANIC It's been interesting following the journey of Occams Laser from the softer synthwave beginnings to his late, mostly darksynth output. While the newly discovered super heavy bass notes on songs like Bloodshot might hint otherwise, the old Occams Laser still makes his presence known on certain sections, like that clean spacy part of Arterial Motive. It's nice to know these two parts of him learned to cooperate instead of one eliminating each other. Makes the music all the more interesting. Favorite track: Arterial Motive.

Trewaan Great melodic work, very spherical. I hope for another minidisc release. Favorite track: Arterial Motive.

palehorse666 the bloody sequel we needed. New Blood was one of my favorites of 2018, and this does a great job of continuing the powerful synth progression of the original. Favorite track: Breakneck.

SokK New Blood II is a blast. 'Nuff Said. This is one of the most enjoyable DarkSynth release of the year : it's fast, furious, heavy, there's no filler and each track is a killer.
Sequels are usually not as good as the first one... but not here with New Blood II : Occams Laser really outdid himself ! Favorite track: Bloodshot.

about

‘Mankind has always relied upon technology.
Ironic that it would lead to its downfall.
The synthetic blood created to cope with the overwhelming demand on the world’s health system often referred to as ‘New Blood’ has now reached a critical point. Successfully infecting and controlling almost all of the population; it is close to full assimilation.
The only hope for the survivors is to fight back with a new weapon. Blood will be spilled.’
